Pastor Marc Scarborough
Pastor Marc Scarborough was born in Los Angeles, CA, to parents Clarence “Skip’ Scarborough and Norma Scarborough. He attended school in the Los Angeles area, graduating from Palos Verdes High School in 1986. From a young age, Pastor Marc knew that he was destined to preach the gospel, often preaching to kids on the playground and in grade school. He attended Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles as a young man. After high school, he decided to follow in his Grammy Award-winning father’s footsteps and go into the music business. He found success there, working with artists such as Howard Hewitt, Nancy Wilson, Rose Royce, Chaka Kahn, Earth Wind and Fire, Gerald Albright, Will Downing, and Jonathan Butler, to name a few. But God was calling Pastor Marc to a higher calling. He began attending Zoe Christian Fellowship of Los Angeles in 1990 after being invited by the parents of a childhood friend. There he sat under the teaching of Bishop Frank Stewart for five years before he was led to participate in ministry. Pastor Marc served in various capacities of ministry, serving faithfully for many years. He became best known for leading the music ministry at Zoe of Los Angeles. He met his wife, then Tanya Bolds, in 1992. After a nice courtship, they married in 1998 and knew they were called to ministry together, starting their relationship by feeding the homeless in the Pasadena area.

As Pastor Marc grew in the things of God, he also grew to understand that he was called by God to be a Pastor. He became a Chaplain for Hoffmann Hospice in Palmdale, CA, and made a decision to also go into seminary, earning his degree in pastoral theology for the International College of Bible Theology. He also assisted pastors in the Antelope Valley area, including Total Deliverance C.O.G.I.C, Greater Harvest Fellowship, and the Mojave Assembly of God as Associate Pastor and worship leader. He and his wife Tanya also organized and led a Bible study in the Antelope Valley area successfully for over four years. Pastor Marc soon after became the Director of Spiritual Care for Procare Hospice and Traditions Health Hospice, supervising and training other Chaplains, performing community service, and facilitating grief support groups.
